Brantley Gilbert To Make Acting Debut On 'Nashville'

GILBERT and RCA NASHVILLE artist CHRIS YOUNG will play themselves as they attend a party with CONNIE BRITTON’s character, RAYNA JAMES.
Gilbert and RCA Nashville artist Chris Young will play themselves as they attend a party with Connie Britton’s character, Rayna James. While it is Brantley’s first attempt at acting, he said that he had great tips from his fiancĂ©, actress and Warner Music Nashville artist Jana Kramer. “She definitely had some pointers but, you know, the part was playing myself so it wasn’t all that hard. It made it pretty easy, but yeah, she definitely had some pointers. She knows what she’s doing,” he said. The singer-songwriter might even get to see some of his own tunes in the show someday. "I think they've found a way to have music, both original songs in the show that they've done, as well as showcase some of the other stuff that's popular and on the charts," he notes.

New artist of the Year

Brantley Gilbert wondered what all the commotion was about on the morning of September 5. His phone has started going crazy, as people were calling to congratulate him on being named a New Artist of the Year finalist by the Country Music Association. That "way" has paid off quite handsomely. His "Halfway To Heaven" album has been certified Gold. "That's a great feeling. The hardest part about the next record is going to be topping it."- Gilbert. At the same time, the Georgia native says that he tries not to dwell too much about his many successes as of late, and just tries to enjoy every step along the way.

Brantley Gilbert- First major tour

The hot Country rebel has already received much praise for his fist- pumping, high- energy live show as an opener on both Eric Church and Toby Keith’s tours. At just 27 years old Gilbert already has an impressive list of industry accolades. He was most recently nominated for the 2012 ACM New Artist of the Year after earning his first-ever nod in the Song of the Year category at the 2011 CMA Awards.

His sophomore project, the Gold-certified Halfway to Heaven Deluxe, debuted at #2 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart and produced two gold, #1 singles, “Country Must Be Country Wide,” and “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do.” As a celebrated songwriter, he has also penned three #1 hits – “My Kinda Party,” “Dirt Road Anthem,” and “Country Must Be Country Wide.” “The energy that Brantley Gilbert brought to his set was almost indescribable. If the energy from the pumping arms of the 2,000 people in the mosh pit arrayed in front of the stage could have been harnessed, it likely would have powered the Huntington Center.” – The Toledo Blade

BRANTLEY GILBERT EARNS OVER 1 MILLION FACEBOOK FANS

Fans and radio alike are continually championing for Country rocker Brantley Gilbert, garnering him two amazing accolades this week. Thanks to his loyal and passionate fanbase, Gilbert crossed over the 1 million “likes” mark on Facebook, joining the rare ranks of Country Music’s biggest names including Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan and Eric Church.
Gilbert is one of only two debut artists in the last two years to achieve this social media milestone. The platform has helped him interact directly with fans. The impact was evident earlier this year when a post by Gilbert reached 12,000 “likes” in less than five minutes.

Brantley Gilbert Engaged

It's a match made in Nashville. Two of country music's biggest stars are planning to tie the knot. Brantley Gilbert popped the question to "One Tree Hill" actress and fellow singer Jana Kramer on his 28th birthday.
"I was so surprised!" the 29-year-old Kramer told People magazine. "He asked my mom for permission before he proposed, which meant a lot to me." Brantley rented out Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium for an entire day, where he proposed to Kramer.
Kramer and Gilbert first met at the CMT Music Awards in 2012. This will mark the first time Gilbert is set to walk down the aisle. Kramer previously married actor Jonathan Schaech in 2010, but they split after less than two months together. Gilbert and Kramer could have even more celebrating to do in the near future. Both performers have been nominated in best new vocalist categories at this year's Academy of Country Music Awards.
